Among the many wonders of Emilia Romagna region, we can undoubtedly include the Dardagna waterfalls in Bologna, Italy. They were named after the stream of the same name, which originates from Monte Spigolino—a mountain in the Apennines—and seven waterfalls. The highest fall is approximately 30 metres is near the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell"Acero. After travelling for several kilometres, the Dardagna stream flows into the Leo River and subsequently into the Panaro, which in turn is a tributary of the much larger Po River. Thanks to the purity of its waters, the Dardagna stream is home to numerous species of fish, such as brown trout and blue trout.
