The Louis Vuitton Foundation, in today"s image, is a museum and cultural centre in Paris, France, promoting art and culture. The extravagant building opened its doors to the public in 2014, thanks to the collaboration between Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, and American architect Frank Gehry. When designing the museum, Gehry drew inspiration from various iconic buildings in Paris, including the Grand Palais and Jardin d"Acclimatation, and applied concepts from 19th-century English landscape gardens.Desktop Version

Built over an older cathedral dedicated to Santa Reparata, construction began in 1296 under the supervision of architect Arnolfo di Cambio. Filippo Brunelleschi, an Italian architect and designer, engineered its dome, which is the largest brick dome ever constructed. Despite falling into disrepair by the 19th century, it was lovingly restored in the mid-20th century and is still privately owned today.
